From the Mississippi to the mountains, Tennessee is home to some of America’s favorite music.
The Shopping Six outlet malls containing over 200 brand-name stores line the banks of the Little Pigeon Forge River. Discounts up to 75 percent are offered on merchandise at stores bearing the most familiar names in America, including Banana Republic, Bass, Izod, Lenox, Dockers, Naturalizer, Rack Room, Duck Head, and Nike.
Bargain hunters arrive early and stay late at the stores in Pigeon Forge and next-door Sevierville. Plan to visit on a weekday to avoid the crowds and be sure to take advantage of the coupon books offered by both the Tanger Outlet Centers and Belz Factory Outlet World for even more savings.
Another hint for a care-free Pigeon Forge vacation: limit the amount of time you spend driving (and parking) by riding the town’s trolley system. For just a quarter, the Fun Time Trolley will take you to more than 100 stops around Pigeon Forge. Park your car for free behind the Old Mill (now a restaurant and craft gallery) in the center of town, and take the trolley to shopping and attractions throughout the area. Special trolley lines also take you to Dollywood and into Gatlinburg at minimal cost.
